book smart
I love a good coffeeshop and this one really flips me on my head...or side. D'Espresso opened on the lower East side in Manhattan just a few blocks from the NY Public Library. The concept is brilliant. Anurag Nema and his team at nemaworkshop designed the cafe with a nod to its unique location--but with a trippy twist. The owner, Mr. Kagansky, plans to open 10 more in Manhattan and other major cities. “The next one will be completely upside down,” he said.

Nauseating or genius?..I think maybe a little of both. Can't wait to visit.

in love
I finally got my dream bike! A roadster model from my friends down at Linus Bikes on Abbot Kinney. The frame is durable steel, the design in 60's European cinema and the ride is pure leisure. Feels like I'm single-speed'ing on cloud 9.

T
Design I did for a t-shirt for Ignatians. I took a pre-existing font and edited it to make it my own. Are my graphic design classes paying off?

Live the Language
EF - Live The Language - Paris from Albin Holmqvist on Vimeo.
I Love this video by art director Gustav Johansson. It is a part of a collection of 4 commercials he did for the EF school of language. The others include Barcelona, London and Beijing. Beautiful cinematography, typography and charming story lines. If these don’t make you want to bust out the frequent flyer miles and polish your second language skills, what will?
